Hiya folks

Well i Got back from London yesterday after a 3 hour drive to talk a manager. He is managing a from his new york office, while the band are based in the UK and they are doing extremly well. So i figured it would be worth going to have a chat with him. He gave me the full run down on the 360 deals now being offered by labels. For those of you who dont know its where a record company decides that if they are going spend loads of money to market you or your band as a product then they want a return on all the money made from that product. ie Merchandice, Sync licencing (tv/film) and most likley door takings, where once record companies only recouped from CD sales, now they want the lot. sometime talking 30% of all income, so you manager takes 20% then the record company takes 30% so that leaves 50% to pay your solicitors, your band, road crew etc. There wont be a lot left after a while! oh and the 360 deal can also include your publishing rights. Its a shite state of affairs but a piece of pie is better than no pie at all i guess!! 

I just had a quick minute in between work to post a quick hello to you all. I have some tunes up here for anyone to listen to if you wanted. I can stay long as i have to head back a wall im building. I am loving some of the music i have heard on here esp this morning call!
